A Book Talk and signing by Joanne Eagles Honeycutt September 26, 2024, 2:00-3:30 at the Multi-Purpose Room Edgecombe County Memorial Library After a brief reading, Joanne will speak on some historical facts about Raleigh and Chapel Hill that influenced the storyline of Book 2 of the Edgecombe Trilogy. Signed books will be for sale ($25…cash/check).

Author Frank Amoroso spoke at the Hot Springs Baseball Convention on August 24. Also on hand were Hall of Famers and other notables including Johnny Bench, Goose Gossage, Ted Simmons, Robin Yount, Al Hrabosky, and Tom Pagnozzi. Hot Springs, Arkansas, has been a popular venue for spring training over the years and Babe Ruth visited there many times. Diamond Fever is Mr. Amoroso’s latest book about Babe Ruth and his exploits in Cuba.

Author Donna Bunting Flake was at Brenau University in Georgia promoting her book, The Haunted Life of Lura.  She gave a presentation about her book and the University did a theatrical presentation focusing on ghost Agnes, a character in the book.  Ms. Flake thoroughly enjoyed her time there and hopes to return next year.

Author Donna Bunting Flake had an enjoyable time at the Lily Pulitzer store at Mayfair Town Center.  She met lots of women and sold and signed books.  The Haunted Life of Lura is a southern gothic novel set in North Carolina.   Lots of mayhem and murder!   The book is available on Amazon.

We had a lovely book presentation by author Donna Bunting Flake at the Cape Fear Country Club.  Donna talked about her book, The Haunted Life of Lura.  Thank you to Ron Copley for arranging the event!

Great event at the USO in Wilmington. It was nice to see everyone who stopped by. If you’re interested in learning more about WWII and author Al Cooke’s dad check out “Terrorfliegers” on Amazon. Happy Independence Day!
